Children's Privacy Policy

We built HSV Learn for kids. Protecting your child's privacy is our most important job. Here's exactly what we do and don't do — written in plain language.
👶 Who uses HSV Learn?
HSV Learn is made for children ages 2–16. Children never create their own accounts. A parent or guardian creates the account and sets up the child's profile. We only collect information from children after a parent has given us permission.
📋 What information do we collect?
We collect only what we need to make learning work: • Your child's first name and chosen avatar • Their age group (e.g., "Ages 5–7") • Their learning accessibility mode (e.g., Standard, Dyslexia mode) • Which lessons they've completed and their scores We do NOT collect: full name, address, phone number, photos, location, or any other personal information from children.
🚫 What we never do
We never: • Show ads to children • Track children's behavior for marketing purposes • Share children's data with advertisers • Sell any data to anyone, ever • Use behavioral tracking pixels or third-party analytics on child-facing pages
🤖 AI Tutor (Spark)
When your child chats with our AI tutor "Spark," their messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. Messages are not stored by Anthropic beyond the immediate request. We never use children's conversations for AI training. Spark is programmed to only discuss educational topics and will never discuss unsafe content.
🔒 How we protect data
All data is stored securely using Supabase (a trusted cloud database provider). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Only the parent account can view a child's data. We never allow children to access other children's information.
👨👩👧 Parent rights
As a parent, you have the right to: • Review all data we have about your child (contact us at privacy@hsvlearn.com) • Request correction of any inaccurate data • Delete all data for your child and your account at any time • Withdraw your consent at any time To delete all data immediately, go to Parent Dashboard → Settings → "Delete All My Data."
